Following a recent decline in his health and hospitalization, Mr. Donald Lawrence came to Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation to regain overall strength. He worked hard with Physical, Occupational, and Respiratory Therapy throughout his stay.

Respiratory Therapy provided education on nighttime oxygen use and worked with Mr. Lawrence to ensure his needs were understood and met. He also has a sleep study scheduled to help maintain his optimal health.

Prior to discharge, he shared, “Everyone treated me with dignity, respect and was there when I needed them. All the staff at Durham were real nice.”

Mr. Lawrence was a pleasure to work with. We wish him continued success and the very best outcomes! Thank you for choosing Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. John Wyatt chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in his overall functional mobility. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his gait, balance, transfers and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home. 

Mr. Wyatt worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy and with his determination returned home. He stated, “I am thankful for each and every one who helped get me home.  Everyone has been so nice! However, I am happy to be going home.”

Mr. Delbert Arrington chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in function. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home.  

Mr. Arrington worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “I have enjoyed my time here. Everyone has been so nice and taken care of everything I needed. You all have made sure I had everything I needed to be successful at home.”

Ms. Sheila Alexander chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in her overall functional mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with aspects of her gait, balance, transfers, and activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home. 

Ms. Alexander worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy.  She stated, “I am so excited to be going home with my daughter. Everyone has been so good and nice to me. Thank you all for everything you have done to get me better.”

Mr. Wayne Stahl chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in his overall functional mobility. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his gait, balance, transfers and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home. 

Mr. Stahl worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy.  He stated, “I am ready to be going home but thankful for all the help and care from everyone. This is a nice place.”

Ms. Marilyn Harris chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with aspects of her gait and balance and her activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home safely and independently. 

Ms. Harris worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy and with focus and determination was able to return home. She stated, “I am so happy to be going home. Thank you to everyone who took such good care of me. I have enjoyed it.”

Ms. Tena Lock chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with her balance and activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home

Ms. Lock worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy and with focus and determination was able to return home. She stated, “You all have renewed my confidence and my strength. I am going much stronger and better than I was for sure. Thank you all for all you help me to!”

Ms. Elizabeth Gregory chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with her balance and activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home

Ms. Gregory worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy and with focus and determination was able to return home.  She stated, “This has been such a learning experience with everything I am taking home with me, and I feel so much better about going home.  You all helped me not just physically but listened to me when I needed an ear.  I appreciate you each and everyone.”

Everyone had a wonderful time during National Skilled Nursing Care (Nursing Home) Week at Durham-Hensley! The 75th Anniversary was also recognized with special guest speakers.

Ms. Sexton worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy and with focus and determination was able to return home.  She stated, “I am very thankful for all the care I have received here. Everyone is so great and sweet! I know I will be spoiled when I’m here.”
