Mr. Harold Pack chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in function. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and his ability to walk and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home.  


Mr. Pack worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “I am always so grateful for all of you. I always enjoy being here when I have to be to get better. You all make it so good.”

Ms. Karen Bishop chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in functional mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with aspects activities of daily living, gait, and transfers, impacting her ability to return home. 


Ms. Bishop worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy and was determined to return home. She stated, “I appreciate your all’s care so much. I cannot wait to get home to my dog. Thank you each and everyone.” Ms. Bishop was a joy to work to with!

Mr. Jack Foster chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in function. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and his ability to walk and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home.  


Mr. Foster worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “I am excited to get home to sit in my favorite lounge chair in front of the picture window and watch the neighborhood. Thank you all for getting me back to the point I can go home with my family.”

Ms. Reta Evans chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with aspects of her gait and balance and her activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home safely and independently.

Ms. Evans worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy and was determined to return home. She stated, “Honey I’m so glad to be going home. There’s no place like it, but you all have been so sweet and good to me. I will tell all my friends about you all.”

Mr. David Trett chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in function. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and his ability to walk and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home.  


Mr. Trett worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “I am always grateful to you all for all of your help. You all help me not just physically but mentally as well. Always so encouraging. We just thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care.”

Ms. Ruby Starnes chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in her overall functional mobility. Upon admission, she was having difficulty with aspects of her gait, balance and activities of daily living, impacting her ability to return home. 


Ms. Starnes worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy with determination to return home.  She stated, “I have loved working with everyone, and it’s been so good to be here, but I am ready to sleep in my own bed.”

Celebrating December in Rehab!


Durham-Hensley Rehab Department was decked out for the holidays this month. The facility planned activities daily for December.

Some of our therapists participated in Crazy Sock Day and Ugly Sweater Day. The residents loved seeing everyone's outfits daily and had so much fun!

Durham-Hensley Health & Rehab was asked to nominate employees that continually demonstrate a “Commitment to Caring”. These employees were nominated based upon the criteria of:


  • Relating well to residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors; respecting resident’s rights;
  • Consistently performing beyond basic job requirements; promoting safety in the workplace;
  • Striving to maintain personal and professional growth through in-services or external educational opportunities;
  •  Maintaining a positive “can-do” attitude;
  • Having dependable attendance; participating in company sponsored events;
  • Participating as a team player;
  • And overall continually demonstrating the “Commitment to Caring” philosophy.


Letitia Henegar has worked at Durham-Hensley Health & Rehab for four months and in healthcare four years. She continually shows a “Commitment to Caring” by always trying to put herself in everyone’s shoes and being compassionate and loving as she can be.


She stated that her motivation is loving and caring for the Residents and co-workers.


Letitia shared that she likes working at Durham-Hensley Health & Rehab because she loves the Facility, her co-workers and Residents. Durham-Hensley is by far, the most loving and committed Facility and everyone is family.


She shared that she loves going to work and seeing and helping everyone.

Ms. Sexton worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy with determination to return home.  She stated, “I am sure grateful to you all for getting me back on my feet and home. I’m glad to be there before Christmas. I have enjoyed it here though.”

Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and his ability to walk and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home. 


Mr. Myers worked hard daily participating in Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “You all have been awful good to me.
I am really looking forward to some good food and sitting in my favorite chair at home. Thank you all for everything while I was here.”

Mr. Nathan Gregg chose Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation following hospitalization resulting in a decline in function. Upon admission, he was having difficulty with aspects of his functional mobility and his ability to walk and activities of daily living, impacting his ability to return home.  


Mr. Gregg worked hard daily participating in Physical and Occupational Therapy services and was determined to return home. He stated, “Thank you all for all you did for me to get me back home. I wasn’t sure I would ever walk. I am so excited to get home and see my dog and my grandkids.”

She stated, “I have enjoyed each of you so much and I am so grateful for the care I received. I would recommend anyone to come here. The care and love you have shown me during my stay has been so good.”

He and his family stated, “I am so thankful for how hard you pushed me to get back on my feet. Nursing was great as well. I am ready to go home but I will sure miss you all.” We wish David all the best and enjoyed working with him!
